ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Fred Van Vleet and the Wichita State Shockers took center stage Friday night during their first game of the NCAA tournament and fans in Rockford made sure they didn't miss a second of it.
Family and friends of Van Vleet got together for a watch party at The District in downtown Rockford. The group of about 20 decked out in Shockers gear, as well as Auburn Knights attire. Other family members are in the stands cheering on Van Vleet in St. Louis bearing signs and banners for #23. The Auburn High School grad helped the Shockers advance to the next round over Cal Poly.
