Five Seniors Celebrate 100+ Birthdays

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Five local women are celebrating major milestones this year. All of them are over 100 years old.

The women celebrated their very long lives at the Cor Mariae Center, this afternoon. Family and friends got a chance to hear stories about the birthday girls. The century themed party even had some live entertainment. Evelyn Benson is 104 years old. She says she couldn't have asked for a better celebration.

When asked if 104-year-old Evelyn Benson felt her age, she said, “There are days but then again when I hear music like I did today, I want to get out there and dance."

We want to wish all of these women a very happy birthday.
