ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- While lawmakers try to figure out just what to do with concealed carry in Illinois, some local gun owner aren't wasting any time.
Dozens of Stateline residents gathered Saturday to learn about concealed carry and apply for a Utah gun permit. It’s accepted in more than thirty states across the US. The group met at Stateline Rental Properties to learn more about gun safety before our state adopts the law sometime this year.
“It's important that the people who want to know, should know what their rights are that they have and how to shoot a gun, you know how to train for it, how to do all the things, you should know about the law that'll help you," says event organizer Rick Davis.
The next class is March 9th. It costs $85 dollars to register.
