NEWTOWN CONNECTICUT (CBS NEWS) -- Parents of the Sandy Hook massacre gathered today on the one month anniversary of the school shooting to announce a new initiative to prevent future tragedies. Holding pictures of their children, moms and dads said that while their hearts were broken, their spirits were not broken and that love would define their town.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- To honor the victims of the Sandy Hook School Shooting local businesses came together Monday night to raise money.

The District Bar and Grill in Downtown Rockford held a benefit and silent auction. All of the money raised will be sent to the United Way.
