ROCKFORD (WIFR) – LaVoz Latina has recently purchased a building on the corner at 730 North Church, Rockford, formerly occupied by Rockford Business College.
Luz Ramirez, Executive Director spoke with enthusiasm about what being in a larger space means for the community. “In addition to our regular programming, a bigger facility means that we’ll be able to expand and add more key services for the Latino population. In appreciation for how much they’re positively impacted by our services, clients reciprocate by giving support to others – teaching skills, helping care for the facility and volunteering their time at other local organizations. We now will be able to expand from a relatively small agency into a vast community resource.”
