UPDATE: Accused killer Kody Walsh won’t be getting a new judge.

You may recall he’s the man who allegedly shot and killed a Beloit woman last year on I-90, sparking a week-long manhunt. Walsh is representing himself in court.

Walsh also wants his murder trial moved out of Winnebago County because he says he won’t get a fair jury trial here. He’ll be back in court December 3rd.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The guy accused of murdering a Beloit woman in the fall of 2012 on I-90, sparking a week long manhunt says he wants a new judge.

Kody Walsh was in court Monday and he'll be back on November 25. That's when he'll find out if he gets a new judge. If the motion is denied, Judge John Truitt will then hear his request for a change of venue.

Walsh wants his trial moved out of Winnebago County because he says a jury wont be fair because of the media coverage.

If the trial isn't moved it could start December 9.
