ROCKFORD (WIFR) – YWCA USA CEO, Dara Richardson-Heron, appointed Kris Kieper, YWCA of Rockford, to the inaugural YWCA USA CEO Advisory Council.
This new council will provide “…critical analysis and input on key priorities, performance measures, and other strategic and operational business initiatives,” (Richardson-Heron) to YWCAs across the country. The committee of 16 includes CEOs from YWCAs nation-wide, as well as representatives from the organization’s Global Relations Committee and Young Women’s Committee.
Of her appointment, Kieper stated, “I’m excited to join such a distinguished and accomplished group of women. I look forward to assisting Dr. Richardson-Heron as she works to strengthen and grow the YWCA footprint and create a greater impact on women’s empowerment and racial justice.
Council members were chosen based on criteria such as length of service, association operating budget, ethnicity, age, geographic location and vision for the future of the YWCA.
