ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Another busy year at the annual Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Electronics Recycling Drive.
The organization says nearly 850 people stopped by this weekend to drop off stuff, including 87 dehumidifiers which is a record.
The non profit banned together with Behr Iron and Metal to sort through everyone's unwanted household junk.
Some people say participating in the event did a lot more for them than just the spring cleaning.
"It helps you get more space, but it puts things in the right place.and it's getting rid of things the right way," said Debbi Tiffany. "You've got to keep this junk out of the landfill. We only have so much space and we only have so much time on mother earth and we have to take care of it."
Anyone who missed today's drive can always visit KNIB's two recycle centers in Roscoe and Rockford.
