ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Kantorei singing group who paired up with Knox College choir on Sunday.
Several hundred people showed up to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rockford to listen to the concert. Choir members say the Kantorei has been around for over five decades because of the constant dedication by the boys. The singing group not only provides a musical education, but is known to promote self discipline and responsibility.
"They work really hard and they have the gift of singing. It's a way of enriching our lives. It's just a wonderful thing," says Jean Anderson, Dir. of Music Ministries.
Kantorei's next event will take place on April 13th at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Rockford.
