UPDATE: Jo Daviess County Man Pleads Guilty to Killing Stepdaughter

JO DAVIESS COUNTY (WIFR) -- UPDATE: A Jo Daviess County man pleads guilty to killing and sexually abusing his 14 year-old step daughter.

Terry Abbas was arrested in September. Police say in October 2011 he strangled Chyenne Kircher to death and buried her in the woods behind the family's home in East Dubuque.

Kircher's body was found in September, after police received new information. Abbas faces life in prison and will be sentenced on December 6.

JO DAVIESS COUNTY (WIFR) -- A Jo Davies County man has been charged with the murder of his step daughter.

Terry Abbas, 40, was taken into custody Thursday and charged in connection with the disappearance of Cheyenne Kerchner, 14.

The East Dubuque teen went missing in October of 2011. Investigators haven't found Kerchner's body yet. But they believe it's somewhere in the woods behind the family's home.
