At 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, Janesville police responded to 3516 Curry Lane after receiving a threats complaint. Police say 31-year-old Jason J. Peebles got into an argument with his mother and stepfather and threatened to kill himself. According to a press release, his parents left and let police know a loaded handgun, rifle and shotgun were in the home.

After several attempts by phone or public address by police, the Janesville SWAT team was called in just after 11 p.m.

After still no response, the SWAT team entered the home and found the man on the lower level -- he was taken into custody after 2 a.m.

Peebles was charged with disorderly conduct, domestic violence and for non-support of a child in Calumet County.
