Janesville Police Investigating Robbery

JANESVILLE (WIFR) -- On November 27, 2012 just after 10:00 p.m. officers from the Janesville police department responded to a report of a robbery in the 1200 block of Joliet. A woman reported that she had backed her car out of her garage and was stopped on her driveway. She was looking at some papers when a man opened the passenger side door of her vehicle and climbed inside. The man demanded that she give him her money and threatened that he had a weapon. No weapon was displayed. After taking money and some prescription medications from the woman, the suspect fled from the vehicle. He was last seen running in a westerly direction.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20’s, wearing a black hooded coat and black hat.

Officers checked the area for the suspect, but did not locate anyone matching the description. A K-9 team also assisted in the search.
