Janesville Police Department Hires Two New Officers

JANESVILLE (WIFR) -- The Janesville Police Department announces the hiring of two new police officers starting May 13, 2013. The new officers are as follows.

Benjamin T. Arnold
Officer Benjamin Arnold lives in Janesville, WI, age 26. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville in 2012, with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. Officer Arnold was most recently working for the Unites States Naval Reserves as a Master at Arms. He was stationed in Taji, Iraq as a Prison Guard in 2008. Officer Arnold also interned with the Oshkosh Police Department and completed the Law Enforcement Academy at Blackhawk Technical College. Officer Arnold is engaged and plans to be married this month.

Benjamin D. Bowers
Officer Benjamin Bowers is from Janesville, WI, age 24. He graduated in 2011 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology. Officer Bowers completed an internship with the Milton Police Department and completed the Law Enforcement Academy at Blackhawk Technical College. Officer Bowers was most recently employed at Olive Garden, Janesville, WI and Lauderdale Lakes Law Enforcement. He resides in Janesville with his wife, Andrea.
