Roadside Safety Check Results
The Illinois State Police held a Roadside Safety Check during the late evening hours of Saturday, July 7th, and early morning hours of Sunday, July 8th, 2012 at Harrison Ave. westbound at Mall Dr, in Cherry Valley.

The Illinois State Police held a Roadside Safety Check during the late evening hours of Friday, July 6th, and early morning hours of Saturday, July 7th, 2012 at Harrison Ave. eastbound at Falund St., in Rockford.

STATELINE (WIFR) -- During the month of June, Illinois State Police District 16 Troopers handled nearly 2,000 incidents.
When breaking down the numbers troopers issued 386 citations and 343 warnings for speeding. 12 people were arrested for driving under the influence.
Troopers also issued more the 130 tickets for seat belt violations and more then 140 citations for distracted driving.
Troopers also made 33 criminal arrested, investigated 29 traffic crashes, with four of them being fatal.
The Illinois State Police District 16 serves Boone, Winnebago, Stephenson, and Jo Daviess Counties.
