ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A legal watchdog group warns jobs could leave the Rockford area if lawmakers don't pass lawsuit reforms.

The Illinois lawsuit abuse watch group says Illinois is known as the "lawsuit abuse capital of the Midwest." they say a lack of lawsuit reform will result in jobs moving across the border to Wisconsin. Wisconsin lawmakers recently made reforms the group is calling more hospitable to companies looking to expand and relocate.

State senator Dave Syverson and Winnebago County Chairman Scott Christiansen were on hand today to pledge their support for lawsuit reform.
