Illinois Tollway Warns Customers About Phishing Scam

ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- I-Pass users need to be on alert for an e-mail scam.

The Illinois Tollway is warning I-Pass customers to ignore e-mils sent from "E-ZPass Collection Agency."

We're told the phishing scam uses the E-ZPass logo and claims we owe money for missed tolls.

The tollway says don't open e-mails titled "in arrears for driving on toll road" or "payment for driving on toll road".

The tollway says it's monitoring the situation and no i-pass accounts have been compromised.

Customers with further questions can call 1-800-UC-IPASS (I-800-824-7277).
