ISP Troopers Make Special Donation

PECATONICA (WIFR) -- Illinois State Police District 16 Commander, Captain James Alexander, is pleased to announce that a special donation event took place yesterday in Freeport.

Every year at the Illinois State Police District 16 Christmas party a raffle is held and proceeds are donated to a local charity. This year, Tyler’s Justice Center was the recipient of a $1,125 donation. “It makes me very proud that we can help such a worthy organization which does so much for children that are victims of crimes,” Captain Alexander stated. “Current and retired ISP employees attend our party and it makes it very easy to donate when we know our money will be used for such a great cause.”

Tyler’s Justice Center serves Jo Daviess, Stephenson and Carroll Counties, providing a central location for intake, investigation and follow-up for all sexual and/or serious physical child abuse victims, ages 0–18. Visit tylersjusticecenter.org for more information.
