ISP Checks Car Seats at Kids Safety Day

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Whether our car is museum quality or not, our kids not only need to be buckled up, but in child seats. They can be tricky to install so on Saturday troopers from the Illinois State Police offered to help.

They were at the Discovery Center checking to make sure our kids are buckled up correctly.

Troopers were also giving out free identification cards for kids three years and older. The cards include a picture of our kids and their fingerprints. Parents get three copies: One to keep at home, and two for a wallet or purse.
