ISP Announce Results of Drunk Driving Patrol

PECATONICA (WIFR) -- The results of an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) patrol which was conducted in Winnebago County on September 20, 2013 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. have been announced. Most of the stops were conducted in Rockford and Loves Park, with troopers focusing on U.S. and state routes.

Speeding citations 4
Occupant restraint citations 2
Total citations 29
Total written warnings 37

The Illinois State Police (ISP) reminds those who drink and drive that future patrols will be conducted.

The ISP will continue to work to save lives by taking Driving Under the Influence (DUI) offenders off the road, arresting them, and locking them up. This project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
