ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Illinois' treasurer is encouraging Rockford area residents to stop by the I-Cash table at Booker Washington Community Center’s Bookerfest on Friday, July 19. The event is being held at Booker Washington Park at 524 Kent Street in Rockford. Staff will be available 5 – 8 p.m. to help anyone wishing to determine if the state is holding any money or unclaimed property entitled to them. According to the July list of unclaimed property holders, 115,608 owners in Winnebago County have $22,132,310 in unclaimed property.
To find out if you have unclaimed property through I-Cash, you can visit the treasurer’s website at www.treasurer.il.gov and follow the I-Cash link. You can contact the Unclaimed Property Division by calling 217-785-6998 or emailing info@Icash.Illinois.gov, although searches cannot be completed by telephone.
