ROCKFORD (WIFR) – One person was taken to the hospital after a house fire on Rockford’s east side.
It happened around 2:30 Wednesday at a home on East State and James Avenue. The fire started on the second floor and spread to the attic.
One person was home at the time. They were taken to the hospital to get checked out. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
