ROCKFORD (WIFR) – It was a scary situation in a Rockford neighborhood today, where three men are accused of trying to break in to a home in broad daylight. It happened a little before 1:00 in the 2100 block of Parmele. Police say they caught one suspect right away and tracked down the other two on 10th street. At least one of them was armed and we're told shots were fired at the scene, but fortunately no one was hurt.
The Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office has authorized the following charges.
Suspect #1: Lathan, Jarell D, 18 years of age, Rockford, Illinois.
