HILLCREST (WIFR) -- The Village of Hillcrest will receive a $60,600 grant from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation for their solar panel project.
Without the grant, the village would not have been able to conduct the $100,000 project. The cost for Hillcrest will be about $40,000.
The solar panels would be located behind the village hall building.
Hillcrest is currently paying between $800 to $1,100 a month for their electric bill. The savings could range between $400 to $525 dollars each month.
