High School Open House Mixes Past and Present

BELOIT (WIFR) -- The annual Beloit Memorial High School Open House Night is set for Monday, September 9th, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. The theme is "Back to the Future."

This is an evening that lets parents and students explore the school environment, learn about the many classes and extracurricular options available, as well as meet the staff and administration of BMHS. At the same time, the evening is open to the public, to see the progress in areas such as technology and technical education.

Highlights of the evening include:

• Ipad demonstrations
• Tours of new Career and Technical Education Area and Pool
• Student performances in the fine arts areas
• Option to purchase BMHS logowear and other items in the newly renovated Knight Store
• Refreshments, courtesy of the BMHS Culinary Arts students

Upon reflecting on the tremendous progress made in so many areas with the eye on preparing students for the future, school staff will be dressing up as they had done in their high school years as a contrast, while encouraging students to dress how they will in the future. Parents and guests are also welcome, and encouraged, to dig out their clothing/school items from their high school years and wear them that night.
