ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Hamilton Sundstrand has decided to change its name after nearly a hundred years. Today they unveiled their new logo at the plant on Harrison Avenue.
Hamilton Sundstrand will now be called UTC Aerospace Systems. The Sundstrand name has been a part of Rockford for nearly a century.
The switch is being made because the company United Technologies bought defense contractor Goodrich. The company is the largest manufacturer in our area.
