ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Tax season can be a headache for most, but one non-profit is making the process a lot easier.
Goodwill is offering free tax prep assistance for both our state and federal returns. It's for families making less than $50,000 and individuals who make less than $25,000.
Every year hundreds of people look to Goodwill for help with their taxes. Not only does it take the stress of filing off us, it can save us a lot of money.
"Typically it’s about $200 to get your taxes done, so we're able to offer the exact same service completely free. Our participants are very excited and I think the community has really embraced the program," Courtney Geiger, Director of Mission Services for Goodwill, said.
Goodwill will help us with our taxes until April 12.
