Today dozens of families are taking advtantage of goodwill's first annual " financial festival" .. the event gives low income residents a chance to file their taxes for free.. experts were on hand.. teaching customers how to read their credit report and open savings acoounts.. organizers say it's important to educate yourself with all the documents you need to file your taxes.
Britta Anderson, Financial Programs Manager, "Really ask your tax preparer what form you are filing and what credits am I getting, so next year you know what credits to keep checking for. Make sure you literally understand every single line on your tax return before you head home."
Goodwill's free tax assistance ends April 13th.
