ILLINOIS (WIFR) -- Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois will host a Volunteer Connect event on Wednesday, March 13, from 11:30 A.M.–2 p.m. and 4–6 P.M. at the Tumilowicz Center for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, 2820 McFarland Road, in Rockford. The event is designed to connect potential volunteers to exciting upcoming spring and summer volunteer opportunities.

Seasonal openings include:
Guiding girls as a Troop Leader or in a special interest series (6 to 8 weeks)
Networking with adults on council committees
Helping with Girl Scout Cookie booths
Being a Camp CEO
Training in First-Aid/CPR
Working on Girl Scout campgrounds
