"To see someone to talk one on one and to calm me down. That's a big point because people are scared"
Rosemarie Tieman is scared of what's going to come of her families health insruance policy as she says next years cost will skyrocket.
Tieman says her husband's policy is going to stay the same but now he will have to pay full price for her to stay on, so Tieman turns to Get Illinois Covered which finds more affordable health care options.
"We haven't heard anything back from our insurance company of what is 100%. It's getting close and I am getting scared."
Ray Empereur help set up the Get Illinois Covered booth which according to the llinois Government News Network, get Get Illinois Covered is a marketplace where people with or without health insruance can find quality coverage at affordable prices. Get Illinois Covered is supported by the Affordable Care Act.
Empereur says there's over 33,000 people living in Winnebago county without health insurance and he hopes through today's informational session, that number decreases.
"We'll take their information and one of the navigators who will contact them to set up an appoinment either in person or on the phone, and help them go through the website and sign up."
"I hope it can find me something really affordable without having to dip into medicare or medicaid, or without having to go onto disability."
Tieman says she hopes Get Illinois Covered is the solution to finding healthcare her and her family can afford.
