BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- Another busy bridge is closing for construction.
The Genoa Road bridge which goes over I-90 in Belvidere will close Monday. This is all part of the I-90 widening project. Instead we'll have to use the Tripp Road bridge which is just to the west.
A number of other bridges have been rebuilt over the last few months as well. It's because they're all too narrow for the new, wider interstate underneath.
More than 4,000 cars go over the Genoa Road bridge every day. It should reopen by late spring.
