Gas Prices Fall Just as Temperatures Did Last Week

ROCKFORD (WIFR)-- The average price of gas in Rockford has fallen 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week, making the average per gallon $3.32 according to GasBuddy.com.

The overall national average has fallen 0.4 cents per gallon putting the price of gas per gallon at $3.29. The national average has increased 6.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 3.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. says the deep freeze we experienced last week made an impact on gasoline purchases but also it kept a grip on prices.

DeHaan also says there was very little change in the national average, and foresees prices remaining relatively quiet this week.
