An 18 year old Belvidere man is in critical condition following a shooting last night in the 500 block of Menominee. Another 18 year has been charged.

Belvidere police say gunfire erupted following a fight in front of the residence about 10 last night.

The victim's name has not been released. The alleged shooter is Harold Switzer of Belvidere. He is being held without bond.

Folowing the shooting police used a search warrant at the home and found several handguns and ammunition. Several people believed to be involved in the fight and possibly the weapon found were detained for questioning.
