ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Galapagos Rockford Charter School was recognized by the Boston based Achievement Network for the school’s ISAT growth from the 2010-11 school year to the 2011-12 school year.
On February 20th, in a network-wide showcase held at the Newberry Library, The Achievement Network recognized Galapagos Rockford’s ISAT growth of 29 percentage points in reading and 16 percentage points in math as the highest growth of all the schools in the Illinois Network. “This is clearly a testament to all of the hard work of the school’s Director, Rebecca Denzer, and her dedicated staff,” commented Galapagos Rockford CEO, Michael Lane. “The focus on data-driven instruction by Ms. Denzer and her staff have clearly resulted in accelerated growth for Galapagos Rockford’s scholars,” added Lane.
In addition to the recognition of the school, first year Galapagos Rockford instructor, Patrick Jackson was recognized for his outstanding practice in the area of data-driven instruction.
