Funeral Arrangements Announced for Roger Bryden

BELOIT (WIFR) – Funeral arrangements for a well-known local businessmen who died over the weekend on a fishing trip have been released.

71-year-old Roger Bryden, the owner of Bryden Motors in Beloit died Sunday due to heart failure. For more than 60 years, the Bryden family dealership has been a staple of the car businesses in the Stateline. Today his family talked about Roger’s generosity, his impact on the Beloit area nad his care for his customers
When he wasn’t making those around him laugh, his son Scott who is the new president of the company says his dad’s selflessness is something which made his dad special.

“The community is what gave him the opportunity to have some funds to give back. That was important to give back to the community that helped him live a good life. He lived a great life and he still came to work every day.” said Scott Bryden.

Visitation will be Monday from 12- 8 p.m. at Central Christian Church. The funeral will be held at the same location on Tuesday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the Bryden family requests donations to the Stateline Boys & Girls Club, the Old Stone Church, or the Roger Bryden Charitable Foundation.
