ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- 23 News needs to make a clarification on this story which aired Thursday night about the Rockford Police Hotline. Our story explained how officers respond to calls they get on this hotline. We highlighted the concerns of one area resident who had called about a home in her neighborhood. She was worried about the number of visitors to a residence. She wondered if it was a "drug house." We did not adequately explain this was not the case. Alan Nicosea's home is not a location of illegal activities. Our goal was to explain that police do check out calls they get. We apologize for any misunderstanding, and reiterate that police need calls to their hotline to help the fight against crime.
