FREEPORT (WIFR) -- A man is heading to prison after admitting to robbing a bank with a BB gun.
Derrick Holmes was sentenced on Friday to nearly six and a half years for hitting up the Kent Bank in Freeport back in September of 2013.
Holmes walked into the bank wearing gloves, dark glasses and a stocking cap over his face. Court documents say he stole more than $6,000, which he now has to repay.
Holmes also says he tired to rob the Community Bank in Orangville the same day, but employees locked to doors before he got inside.
