WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WIFR) -- South Beloit's former police Chief Tom Fearn has plead guilty to one count of official misconduct.
He's accused of mistreating Veronica McIntyre while she was in custody in 2008.
McIntyre was secured to a bench in the South Beloit booking area and her arms were handcuffed behind her back.
Chief Fearn approached McIntyre as she tried to stand up and pushed her onto the bench. He also placed his hands on her neck and forced her down.
Fearn has been sentenced to 2 years Conditional Discharge and will forfeit his Firearm Owner ID card and firearms.
