CHICAGO (AP) -- Police say an escaped bank robber was disguised as an old man and led officers on a short foot chase before he was captured in the Chicago suburbs.
Kenneth Conley was one of two bank robbers who staged a daring escape from a downtown Chicago high-rise federal jail last month.
Palos Hills Deputy Chief James Boie says Conley was wearing a beret and glasses and walking with a limp when officers approached him Friday. Boie says Conley pushed one of the officers and led them on a foot chase.
He says Conley tried to break into an apartment to elude authorities, but was caught and had a BB gun in his possession.
Both Conley and the officer who was pushed were taken to a hospital. Their injuries weren't serious.
