ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- This weekend is the 42nd Annual Rockford Boat, Vacation & Fishing Show at Indoor Sports Center. The exhibit includes brand new 2013 boats and motors. Organizers say families are starting to head back to riding the waves as the economy slowly improves.
Andrew Rotolo, Show Producer, says, "For a while there the economy was a little shaky. Sales were down. Attendance was down. Last year, it came back up. And this year, it's been even stronger. You talk to the boat dealers, they're having better years. The attendance numbers are up. So, things overall, the economy is coming back and it shows at the show."
