Executive Director of Visit Beloit Retires

BELOIT (WIFR) -- Visit Beloit announced today that Deb Frederiksen has retired from her 2 and a half year position as the Executive Director of Visit Beloit.

The Board of Directors at Visit Beloit intends to begin the recruitment process for an Executive Director immediately and fill the position by December 31, 2012.

In the interim period, Beth Jacobsen, Assistant to the City Manager has stepped in to serve as Interim Executive Director until a suitable replacement can be found.

Ms. Jacobsen has her Master’s Degree in Public Administration and has worked as an Assistant City Manager for over five years. Larry Arft, City Manager and Board Member at Visit Beloit states, “I am confident Beth can keep the agency afloat during this transition. I look forward to having her back in our office full-time.”

Brenda Gould, Visit Beloit’s Board Chair states, “The Visit Beloit Board will begin the recruitment process as soon as possible. I am optimistic that we will recruit an Executive Director who will move our organization to the next level.”
