ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Memorial Hospital held a get together for patients who have survived cancer in honor of National Cancer Survivor Day.
Over 30 cancer survivors spent the afternoon at RMH playing bingo, mingling, and eating treats. They also spent tome with the very doctors and cancer center staff who have helped saved thier lives.
"They're a top notch staff," said survivor Alan Schutt.
RMH used to hold this event in celebration of National Cancer Survivor Day years ago, but started again only today and hope to hold the celebration next year and beyond.
