BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- It’s been ten years since one woman faced a drunk driving accident that nearly took her life. Today she shared her story with high school students.
Sarah Panzau-Evans made her way to Belvidere North High School warning students bout the dangers of drinking and driving. Panzau Evans says getting behind the wheel intoxicated caused her to lose an arm and required her to have almost 40 surgeries. Since surviving the crash, she now travels the country and shares her story.
“When it comes down to it, I am here for a reason and I help people. I want to make sure people don’t have to go through what I went through to realize some of life’s most important lessons,” said Panzau-Evans.
