Drug Bust in Dixon

DIXON (WIFR) -- On May 24, 2013 at 5:30pm, the Dixon Police Department’s Tactical Response Team executed a search warrant at 319 West Chamberlin Street in Dixon in regards to an ongoing drug investigation. As a result of the search warrant, officers located a controlled substance (prescription medication), approximately one ounce of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and approximately $11,000 in United States Currency.

Alan J. Rawlins, age 27, of 319 West Chamberlin Street in Dixon was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Unlawful Possession With the Intent to Deliver Cannabis 10-30 grams (Class 4 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Cannabis 10-30 grams (Class A Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 Counts, Class A Misdemeanor). Once processing was completed, Rawlins was turned over to the Lee County Jail to await bond to be set by a judge. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
