DIXON, Ill. (AP) -- A murder charge has been filed against a Dixon man accused of shaking his baby daughter to death.
The Telegraph reports the charges were filed against 36-year-old Charles T. George. He faces counts of first-degree murder, aggravated battery of a child and aggravated domestic battery of a child.
Lee County prosecutors accuse George of killing the 3-month-old baby girl in September 2010. They say the baby suffered skull and rib fractures and died five days later at a Rockford hospital.
George is held on $1 million bond in the Lee County jail. He does not have a listed telephone number.
