District 223 Finds Interim Superintendent

STILLMAN VALLEY (WIFR) -- Meridian Schools have chosen Jim Brown to step in as interim superintendent, after both Dr. Robert Moreland and his assistant superintendent Tom Gaudreau stepped down last month.

Brown officially began his duties as interim superintendent today. He toured each of the schools, including Meridian Junior High School. Brown is no stranger to the position. He retired as the Superintendent of District 170 in Dixon five years ago.

You may recall, the Meridian School District faces a $2 million budget deficit, which Brown says is his main priority.
