ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A lot of testing going on in District 205 Saturday. They're not taking state tests, but trying to get into the district's gifted program.
Students from around the area took tests today to try to qualify for the Rockford Renaissance Gifted Academy. The academy is highly sought after with its elementary test scores being in the 99th percentile on the Illinois Standard Achievement Test and middle school students in the 98th percentile.
To be accepted by the gifted program, students must score in the top five percent nationally.
