Discovery Center Opens Secret Garden

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- An old patch of land that use to be infested with weeds at the Discovery Center Museum has been transformed into a new attraction.

The Discovery Center opened up it's Secret Garden, it's tucked away between the outdoor Dino Dig and Woodward Hall. The garden has been a year in the making and includes a wooden maze, is filled with plants and even a butterfly garden. Organizers say it give kids the opportunity to interact and learn about nature.

The Secret Garden was made possible by financial help from local businesses.
