UPDATE: Couple Identified in Stillman Valley Death Investigation

UPDATE: On Tuesday February 26, 2013 Sheriff Michael R. Harn and Coroner Lou Finch have identified the two individuals deceased as Jack E. Bond, age 85, and his wife Dorothy F. Bond, age 86, of Stillman Valley.

Dorothy Bond died of a gunshot wound to the head. Jack Bond died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation continues pending lab results

UPDATE: STILLMAN VALLEY (WIFR) – Sheriff’s deputies are keeping equally quiet about a double death investigation in Ogle County.

Officers were called to a home in the 4000 block of Armour Road in Stillman Valley yesterday morning. Two people were found dead inside. The Sheriff’s department has not revealed their names or cause of death.

We’re told this is an isolated incident and we shouldn’t be concerned for our safety.

STILLMAN VALLEY (WIFR) -- The Ogle County Sheriff's Department is conducting a death investigation after two bodies were found inside a home in Stillman Valley.

Just before 11:00 a.m. Monday Ogle County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 400 block of North Armour Road. Once inside they found two dead bodies in the residence.

At this time the investigation is ongoing and names of the deceased are being held pending notification of family members. Autopsies have been scheduled by the Ogle County Coroner's Office for Tuesday.

Sheriff Harn would like the public to know that investigators believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the general public. The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit is assisting with the investigation.
