UPDATE: JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin man who admitted burning the corpse of an 18-year-old woman in his backyard fire pit has been sentenced to more than 28 years in prison.

Authorities believed -- but couldn't prove -- that Middleton murdered Paul.
