ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- If you've ever come up with an idea that you think sounds simple and could be worth millions, this contest could be the launching pad.
Eigerlab is hosting the eighth annual Fastpitch competition. Any potential business owners, entrepreneuers, even high school students will have just three minutes in the spotlight. Inventors will pitch their ideas before a panel of community business leaders.
"They can just have an idea on a napkin," says Sherry Pritz, marketing coordinator at Eigerlab. "It can be a better way to build a mousetrap. It doesn't have to be a brand-new idea. It does not have to be an invention or an inventor, it can just be a better way to run a business."
The winner gets five thousand dollars. The deadline to sign up for the competition is June 4th.
